    Problem updating Member Profile

    Hi

When I try to update 43249 Curtis Scholl, I open the first page, fill out the information, then I hit next.

The problem is that the next page shows data for PRA Number 38837 and I edit that information thinking about "just a bug" but then it returns me to the first page when I save it.

I believe I have reported something like this before.

Now that is too strange! Curtis.
A few questions will help me understand this new bug.

    1) Are you editing information in the 'Forum' or ( PRA.org's user information)?
    2) When it displays 38837 does it display someone else information or is it still your information with just the account # incorrect?
    3) What field were you trying to change when it blew up or did you cancel the operation?

    John:

    HI

I start on the PRA Home Page, then Log in.
At that point, I see a "My Account" selection at the very top upper right.
When I select it goes to a page that is gray and states

    Login ID
    43249

    Password

    blank box

    Salutation etc.

When I am done with editing there is a NEXT >> and i select it.
It then goes to a second page

Where the 38837 is displayed, it only displays my information , (at least I think it is mine)

Then expiration date, member since, expiration, and a bunch of selections like Gyroplane CFI etc. and at the bottom one is allowed to SUBMIT.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Curtis

Maybe it twilight zone as you did not type this either.
But at least I can explain this post. It me John logging in as you to test what you were seeing.

However it was twilight zone for me because
I clicked "My Account" in the upper right of the PRA.org site expecting to see what you described.

But no joy, or joy depending how you look at it. It worked for me and is your profile and it's not grayed out.

I'm using firefox browser to test your account and I've never seen a different browser be able to change accounts... but that is now the only difference I can think of if you are not using firefox.
    What browser are you using?
And can you test it again and see if somehow it fixed it's self? It must have known it was the administrator posing as you, like the parent coming home and the kids act all good, is all I can think of.

It works for me posing as you.

    John:

About the gyro pics....hmm...no worries! But I fear the ladies may take to Facebook/Twitter/Snapchat to out me...LOL

Well, as you said, it must be the children behaving...same conditions occur. But the data is correct...so the code defines a variable that seems to be unable to be overwritten by the prior page's variable or is prefilled and does not look at the prior page's code, it could be any number of things. IF this is JAVA based, oh well...

IT is a long way from HTML or XHTML. But then again, I did not do a View Source on the second screen.

    Thanks

    Curtis Scholl

    Hey John:

Do a View Source on the second page
My display shows that on line 500 - 505 or thereabouts is code to show the MEMBER ID and it looks to be hard coded to me. Maybe between the two pages for a non-admin there are restrictions based on admin vs user? Just guessing...

    John:

I am not sure of the logic that is used for this particular site. I am sending what I found using View Source:

This is the variable line from the view source of the USER EDIT second page

    < ! PRA Number38837 >

This is the variable line from the view source of the USER EDIT First page

    < ! Login Id43249>

ARe the two supposed to reflect the PRA Number rather than the Logon ID? Or vice Versa?

IT seems PRA Number variable needs to be needs to be updated with the proper Logon ID?

    Hi Curtis
So it's still not working for you?
Hmm, I actually logged in as you by overwriting the search for password in the database an forced all entries to pass. So I became you and that why it make no sense.
As you I only go to the correct page so the source code is fine.

What browser are you using let me try the same one as you.
