    I do not know the weight of the Monarch however if you just look at the frames the Monarch appears much much heavier especially if it has the drop landing gear. I suspect that is the major difference.
    The Aviomania is lighter than the sport copter too. Nicolas has designed the round tubes not to have complete double tubing for the entire length as most manufactures do. He only puts short double tubes where attach points are and creates a crash crumple zones to force the tubes so they will bend where he want them to when they hit the ground and absorb part of the impact while they deform and then they are design to support the seat and carbon fiber Kevlar reinforced fuel tank so it stays off the ground if you do not tip over that is.
